Im looking to find a straight razor (like you would find in a barber shop) I dont have time to order it online or i would do that. I just dont know what type of shop to look in. I have checked my local knife shop (but they only have high high high end ones i dont need anything that nice) I checked rite aid, macys, sears, bed bath and beyond. but none of these places cary them.... does anyone have any suggestions? (im also in the NY long island area so if its not a chain unless its here it wont do me any good)

Antique shop came to mind first--looking for a "stropping" razor...
But it sounds like you want something newer.
Have you stopped in at the local barber shop? (Not "salon"--the real thing. There are still a few around.) |

| I have seen straight razors in Pawn shops, maybe worth a try. |

Did you try Sally's Beauty Supply?
I wonder if they would have anything you are looking for?!? |
