| I'm looking into getting a D50 but I don't know much about Nikon or their lenses. |

Generally I think the kit lenses on the D50 are not too good. What I would do is just go ahead and get the 18-70 EDwhich is what comes on the D70 kit. Its a great lens, versatile and sharp as a tac.

| I have the 18-70 and I think its great here are some of the users on this site that use the 18-55 D50 kit lens and some image samples18-55 it looks good to me. Nikon makes great glass I have 5 lenes and I cant wait to get more! |
