Oh, my country...
The first pic is a good one, the second has too much PP for my tastes. Hope you enjoyed the city. Paris is a really nice city for shooting good pictures.

In the second, you may have tried to "lighten" the dark area too much which made it grainy. Use less filter to do that, you don't need to see every beam in the structure, if it's a little dark that's OK.
Here's a couple pics of the Eiffle Tower. Notice that the in the first one the lower beam and tower are "balanced"... You may be able to crop yours differently if you have enough "picture" to play with. I took these in 1988, you wouldn't believe the amount of cloning I had to do to get rid of all the specks from the original picture!
This one is from the very top of the tower looking down.

Wow, they had a parking lot under the tower back in the day? Interesting. Thanks for the input! |

Yeah, I've heard you can't go all the way to very top anymore but not sure. They had an 8x8 inch mesh safety screen which I stuck the camera through to get the shot! :)
I also have these pics:
This one probably had the most grain and garbage in it out of all of them... I probably spent 2 hours cloning all the junk out. The streets, the buildings, the sky, everything, it was a BITCH cleaning this image up:

Wow, some more cool shots. When I was there 2 weeks ago they were letting people up all the way to the top... |

I really like the first one, colors and everythig are really good. The second one, xi like how I can see the underneath beams but the sky needs work. Looks like you tried to hard to make it stand out and it ended up really grainy. |

I like the sky in your rework ALOT but all that wonderful detail of the structure isnt there. Leave the sky of the 2nd and the structure of the first and I think you'll nail it. |

Can't contribute more to the photography discussion but in case you are going to post these elsewhere or display them in public, the correct speling is Eiffel.
Bought a poster not long ago with "Brigde of Sighs" printed boldly below it!
:)))

Well, aside from feeling like an idiot for my misspells, I'm happy, b/c I'm done editing this series. Here's the whole thing below.
