Is it just me, or is the quality of the Broken II entries not very good. Started voting and in 20 photos. highest vote from me was a 6 (1 photo). Loads of 3's and 4's.

Not a great topic to be discussing during voting, might be seen as "influencing" the perceptions of other voters. Ask again after the challenge results posted?

Maybe you're just feelin' mean because "you-know-who" didn't make the cricket tri-series finals?
I can't understand it ... they played WAY below their potential, especially when it really mattered.

Oops ... spelling!

Ja, Ja, Ja - Still a sore point. We will be hosting the Aussies in South Africa shortly though. Got my tickets for Durban. Gonna go and support the boys. Graeme Smith's face would've been a nice entry for Broken II.

Yes, they played way below potential, but don't forget all the injuries! By the time the Aussies get here, hopefully we'll be able to put our real team on the field.

We just don't have the quality team we used to have - People like Hansie Cronje, Alan Donald, Jhonty Rhodes, Brian Mcmullen etc. We need good fast bowlers and good spinners.

When we're at full strength I don't think the team is too bad, though we do desperately need a decent spinner. The selectors invested too much in Botha after he was reported for chucking. Now they're back to square one again. (Not that he was doing so well anyway.)

Where you from? We are not too bad - Aussies are better though. Always nice to beat them - then we know we have beaten a quality side. I will be touring Aussie land next year for indoor cricket. Gonna get me some Aussie wickets.

As soon as I saw that action I thought it was very suspect, on your home soil it should be a big challenge for the aussies, we just need to pick the right team.

I think it is a Muraliteran (Spelling???) issue all over again. Botha will play again - and he will be one of the best. Just wait and see.

Johannesburg.

I can't believe I'm not the only South African in the forums at this hour of night. My family think I'm crazy.

As far as Botha is concerned, chucker or not, I think the Aussies treated him really badly. While they were amusing themselves, shouting 'no ball' they forgot that he is a human being with feelings and big worries with his career on the line. That he was able to go on bowling as well as he did says a lot for his character. I certainly hope he is able to sort his action out and come back stronger. We certainly need a spinner with mental toughness.

I am from Richards Bay - You guys getting some rain? We are also getting wet here. Played our Indoor Cricket League Finals tonight. Luckily my team took gold. Only got home an hour or so ago. Guys wanted to celebrate afterwards.

I can't believe how much rain we've had. And I'm sure at the start of summer they were predicting a drought.

I don't know too much about indoor cricket, so it's interesting to come across someone who actually plays the game. Glad you have something to celebrate that's sport related. I'm a real couch potato, I'm afraid.

Off to bed now. Good night, or should that be good morning?

Sweet - all the south Africans come out.

Hey - don't forget we also lost Kirsten at the same time as Jonty and Donald.

Still, I blame the lose on the injuries - Kallis, Nel and Ntini: that's most of our first choice bowling line-up.

I had the fortune to attend both the Melbourne and Sydney tests. Shame we gave the Sydney test away...

Ja - it will be a different story in SA.

Ntini was a big loss because he's very good & our guys had trouble with him.
Nel was a loss because he's super competitive & gets under the opposition's skin.
Kallis would bat in any side in the world. Even ours!

Looking forward to the SA series!

The Sydney test was not given away it was put up for a fight, Smith has made a lot of friends in Australia with that sporting declaration, he plays and captains the game with a lot of aggression which is how we like our captains......shame he didn't bat well.

I like Smith as a Captain. According to me Hansie Cronje was tops - so what he took bribes - I had some inside info on the whole bribe thing - Hansie took the fall for his guys - From what I heard there was a couple of guilty parties (India knows most of them)

Can't wait for the Series in SA. What happened to Nell?

were we playing anyone other than Australia I would agree that Smith set Sydney up for a fight. However, under the circumstances I think it showed a gross lack of respect for the Aussie batting line-up, and an over-estimation of our strike bowling. We didn't stand a chance.

Agree with you here - Those Aussies knows how to swing a bat, but it was still very sporting of Smith. Always try to win.

Now hasn't this thread been hijacked !! doesn't matter when your talking cricket but.

The biggest thing Smith got wrong in Sydney was the fact he was relying on a traditional Sydney wicket that on the last day is very hard to bat on, but this wicket stayed true for five days.

I wouldn't be to hard on the guy not often you declare twice in a test match and still lose. It took what I think was a 2nd innings record at Sydney for the aussies to win.....oh did I mention that Ricky Ponting was in superb form.

Had a look at your profile - Beautiful photos. Not just a good cricket supporter, but very impressive photographer (it is now 05H00 in the morning-thus the bad spelling and grammar)
I saw the Aussies play SA in a ODI in Durban a while back. Ricky Ponting and the guys were in top form. Funny thing - I enjoyed it when the Aussies won. Reason - I went backstage to get a couple of cooling golden liquids when the teams arrived at the stadium. Obviously there is little kids looking for autographs from their heroes - The whole SA team just walked past these guys. Only Ntini gave autographs - the whole Aussie team handed out Autogrpahs as well - Kallis even went so far as telling one kid to F___ Off. VERY BAD. Hope they changed a bit since then.
