I was just reading through some of the critiques and forums and I was surprised (not in a good way) to see how rude some people are. It is OK to let somebody know they didnt like their pictures, but to call them CRAP repeatedly is just rude. There was also a post maliciously mocking somebody's idea for a shot like the person was an idiot or something. People have to realize that not everybody is a genious and that not everybody is as creative as them and that some of us are novices that have only been shooting for a short period of time. Before you write something rude think about how you would take it if it was the other way around. Give people a break!

Stick around long enough, and you'll get used to it :)

I like getting rude comments...they brighten up my day cause they are often comical.

Some people around here don't know how to give constructive criticism, so they say it like it is...sometimes that's better than having someone write an essay to simply tell you that your photo is crap :)

Welcome to the site...I hope your photo is doing worse than mine :) ...kidding!

My problem is that I don't know when I'm being insulted. In the cliche challenge I got "did this take all day to shoot?" Hmmm, I wonder what he meant by that? :)

Zadore, very well said. I have stuck around and I got used to it. I also like the rude comments; they make me smile. After the challenge is over, go see what those people doing the rude comments submitted. They're usually just venting out their frustration at not doing well.

Keep your chin up and have fun.
