I know it's been done before, but I wanted to give it a try with my new flash-set. Selfportrait.

Comments appreciated, I'll comment back at you tomorrow if you'd like :)

ps: this is not a political statement or whatever, just a feeling deep inside of me. pure emotional

I like it, but if the thread was just a little heavier it would show up more.

I have seen this suturing done before and I was wondering if this was real or a facsimile of suturing? If it is real my heart is moved deeply. This is putting your money where your mouth is no pun intended.

Your image is emotional but on a technical basis I think it could be a little brighter. There seems to be a lot of grain in it. Now that may be the look you wanted to portray and if so you did a good job of it.

I like this and as I said if it is real suturing, you have made a powerful statement. To suffer for art is truly amazing. Good work.

@ Chaimelle: hmm when it would show up more, it probably wouldn't be realistic anymore.
Thanx for your comment!

@ MPRPO: thank you. It was a set up, but I'm happy it looks like it wasn't for you. I attached the threads to my mouth with lipgloss ;)
It surely was my intention to keep things a bit dark, but the grain wasn't intentional (ISO was still set to 400 for other photo's). though I think it isn't very bad.

Thank you!
