Look at the wierd colors the star in the bottom left is putting off. Full size file looks way cool.

I think that's a refraction Dave. Dust perhaps?

If you go outside it's a really bright blue star. I did a 80 second exposure on it about 6 times and thats the light it's emmitting. Off to about the southwest

Wouldn't it be cool to look outside and see one of the stars going supernova? Ok maybe not...

oy, it's nothing but lens glare and refraction.

...or is it the cosmic play/pause button?!!!

i think the blue star would probably be vega

My guess is that bright star would be Sirius in Canis Major. It would be in the Southwest. Vega is bluish too, but wouldn't be in the southwest, unless you're really far up north I guess.

I think Telehubbie has identified the bright star at upper right. The artifact at lower left is a ghost image of the star at upper right.

It's an internal reflection in the optics of your lens. I get these frequently when I have a bright star or stars in a piggyback shot.

Vega is a summer star so Sirius is likely the culprit (no kidding either).
