would it be possible to block certain portfolio images from the public and only allow members to see them? people keep googling my screen name and seeing my photos. I hate search engines. everything i post on here is showing up too, theres like 800 posts for my name.

Maybe I'm missing something, but if you don't want your pictures to be available to the world, then why would you upload them to the world wide web? And just because somebody has forked out a bit of cash to become a member of a website, that doesn't mean that they're not an axe murderer does it?

To answer the original question, yes, it is possible. Put the images inside your workshop folder and they cannot be publicly browsed. They can be linked to directly though, so you can still post a direct link to them in the forums.

ok your missing the point. so if you cant answer the question dont question me about being a bright light. i know their on the WWW duh. its not about being an axe murderer, its about the people i know. i have images on another photo site and their not shown on google. just wanted to know if there was a setting i was missing if not than i'm removing the photos and watching what i say in the forums. its harder to find stuff on here, but if everyone googles it, its right there in their face.

No problem, I understand your question, but just wanted to emphasise that restricting your pictures to members only does not mean that only trustworthy people can see them. Hope you find a solution.

Interesting conversation and I guess we have answer from Kirbic. But what if I want the opposite? I mean how can I make my images more searchable? Where do I need to work on - title, description..?
