The trial version is available free with unlimited functionality and no time limit, just a small text notice in the lower left corner of the processed image. Full version is modestly priced at $35 (US).
PureImage NR

Handles many file formats and will save in high quality jpeg or tif. My initial impression is very favorable with results equal to or better than NeatImage.

hmmm- just played with it a bit. not bad but it did something odd- it stretched my photo. Have you noticed that at all? it is the same size, but the face was wider... how weird.

I have not noticed any distortion, but there is at least one other bug: An saved image may have the thumbnail from a previously processed image posted! For that reason I close the application after each image processed to clear out any saved thumbnails.

edit: followup

Just did a side by side comparison fo an image processed and unprocessed: no detectable image distortion with either jpeg or tif.

are you still using the trial version? hmmm- when I just uploaded it here there's no distortion. must be the windows viewer.
anyhow- here's an example if anyone is curious :0)

A lovely photo! I am still using the trial version, but I do like results.
