The challenge description says to find something already broken, not to break things. :)
So go for a walk around town, you might see a broken down car, broken windows, an old abandoned house, a broken fence, the list goes on and on.

Not a lot of time left, but: Broken Light looks nice. If you have a prism at home... |

But if I take a photo of something being broken, by the time I take the photo of it, it is already broken, or not? |

Hmmmm... lets see now... the purists will say you violated the challenge by breaking something for the picture so will be "forced" to give you a 1 for flaunting the challenge.
But then the "purer" purists will recognize that, yes it is in fact broken prior to taking the picture so it meets the challenge. They will thumb noses at the lesser purists!
Then there is the rest of us... :)

Thank you Steve! I have decided not to enter my photo because I know exactly what the voters will say to it. Exactly this: Doesn't meet the challenge because it was not already broken before the shot. Sad cos I put a lot into this photo. Doesn't matter though it was a learning experience.

This was my first idea, too. But I had found none on this whole 300 m2. Later a colleague of mine said she had one, I should have asked her before...
Always ask your friends whether they have a prism to lend, you can never know!!! |

Dang... that is a bummer... the rest of us mostly vote the quality of images and yours are always like fine wine for our eyes.
In challenges or not. Your imagery always brightens my day!

Kindof fell into the same trap as you Gary, didn´t read the fine print till after I too my shot. Anyway, didn´t really feel like submitting for the sake of submitting it as I am sure it would have done horribly and gotten a lot of "DNMC" comments. Anyway, this was the best I could come up with...
