Hello all, has anyone else noticed during the voting period that suddenly your voting average takes what seems a substantial dive and the voters number has only increased by 1. A quick calculation confirms that this begotten son has awarded you for all the hours of effort, sweat and tears you have put into the challenge with a mindblowing 3! when you have received 20+ brilliant comments and not one bad.

There are very few entries that I have awarded less than 5 to, and to those I have tried to add constructive and reasonable comments where it appears possible that their experience or equipment is limited.

Hey Vin, it wasn't me! I just revised my votes----all up I might add.
I sure like the way we can revise now, its sooo much quicker.

Hi David, thanks for your reply, this site has really got a hold on me, Ive spent about 5 hours today preparing my shot for the current challenge and gone through a lot of iced tea! - it is a super site, I just don't know how Drew and Langdon manage without regular contributions from us, They are definately 2 very top guys and I salute them!

How's your submission going? it was much tougher than the curves challenge and took me 4 days to think of something original.
good luck,
Vin

Or that last voter could have given you a 10. Don't forget that everyone who has already voted on your picture may revise their votes, so maybe it's just that 7 people changed their votes from 10 to 9 on your photo since you last checked.

Thanks Reuben, that really makes me feel so much better that instead of 1 voter down-voting me there maybe a handful revising and downgrading!

I think I'll stick with my first assumption!

You know, this shows one very obvious but important thing we all tend to forget that DPC is just momentary thing in course of our life. Given 2 - 3 years we never know we will even remember the name DPC.

Winning or not winning ribbons, getting offended by others and offend others are just momentary things. We should rather concentrate on enjoying the time here rather than taking it with too much seriousness.
Anybody knows where are most of these guys now.

You never know. I've been active in some online communities for over 16 years now. The sentiment that it's just a game/site/blah so chill out is always worth considering, but people get attached to them like anything else. Imagine going to the corner bar for a decade and getting familiar with the regulars. You get attached to it even though it's just one of a zillion bars.

It's just in the case of the net, the bar is full of stark raving lunatics.
