I'm trying to find some rules of thumb on what images are best for what payment solution. Here's what I think:
Rights Managed:
If you DON'T have a model release or property release or there is a visible copyrighted mark - so you can spec that it is for editorial use only
If you have a very rare image of some event
If you are totally in love with a given image and don't want to see it end up in millions of ads worldwide
Royalty Free
A nice shot of something that is representative of shots others "might" have taken
Stuff shot on white for use in layout
But what do I do with photos I shoot of models WITH model releases? What about my spider shot? How about photo illustration work?
Can anyone give me a resource or a more definative set of rules to apply to this choice?

Photos with model releases could sell very well as RF. Unless you have some stipulation on how they are used.
