Alright, the first one was taken in the square right next to Hero's. That is about half a block from where I am right now. The second? Hard to tell.

They have magical properties.

I have no idea, I think it's the whole competition thing to see who can get the most and best.

The closest Mardi Gras I have is Vail. Which I here is pretty nice.

It's part of Mardi Gras, as much as moonpies and colorful floats. Women, who would normally slap you if you offered $100 to see thier boobs, will do it for a string of 25 cent beads.

I suppose alcohol plays part in it, but not neccesarily the only motive, because I've ssen perfectly sober women do it. Perhaps it's the party atmosphere and loss of inhabition in an atmosphere where such behavior becomes norm.

I've never been in that kind of atmosphere in my life. Unless you call strip clubs one of them. Strip clubs are famous in Thailand afterall.
