These are some other photos I took at the battle re-enactment that I considered using for the Best of 2005. Curious as to what others think of these photos. Any comments, critiques greatly appreciated! Will comment 1-4-1 throughout the day as time permits....thanks!

Of the four posted, the one with the border appeals to me the most. It engages the viewer the best. To make it even better I think a shallower DOF could be used to blur the background trees just a slight bit more.
Looks like it was a fun shoot though. |

Bumping myself to see if I might be able to pull a few more comments?

Nice color and contrast. I agree with cpanaioti regarding the one with the border being the best.
One thing that I notice is the images look a tad too pixelated in the foregrounds. Could be just noise that was enhanced during sharpening or jpg artifacts from saving the file. They really don't bother me so much at this size however if the images were printed or enlarged I think it would. Btw, on the shirt it actually makes it look better providing texture.
ETA: Your actual entry didn't have this problem so perhaps it's just jpg compression.
