...an action-photo poster of their kid ;-)

this was designed using fotofusion, and can be printed large (11x14 up to 20x30). after pulling the images together, i throw together a slideshow and upload it. then i email the parent a link, along with pricing information. it doesn't take much time to do this, and, you never know, mom just might buy it...

here are the slides

well done. I am amazed at the clarity. The light must've been awfully good. what shutter speed were you able to get?

I am impressed.

That's pretty sweet. Great idea, too. If Mom doesn't want it, the daughter might... you KNOW that's gotta be a lot cooler than the squad team shots.

Really cool idea. The first thing I thought of when it said 'one second' was to count the frames and wonder if it really was at 10 fps... most probably don't care though :P

It'd be really cool to have a flash application where you could hover over the frames and it'd switch the image in the big frame and leave the text.. that'd make a perfect front page for a bike manufacturer's web site

whoo-hooo!!! mom did backflips when she saw it tonight (i printed an 8x10 and took it to a meet i was covering). daddy loved it, too, enough to place an order for a 20x30!

thanks, all, i appreciate the comments.

@rob: no, it wasn't the lighting...that old gym is pretty much a cave. the images are largely due to the 20D and the 16-35 f/2.8L. all images were shot at iso3200, f/2.8, 1/500

@madman: yeah, ya caught me...start to finish was maybe a hair over 2 seconds ;-)

@jen: yep, always ;-)

here's another one i did:
