I will be taking a break from the daily photographs, and I'm not sure how long it will be. My mother has been told that she has about 3 weeks left to live, and quite frankly I do not think she has that long. I feel it is much more important to spend the time with family right now, so that is what I will be doing.
I want to thank all of you that have been moved to comment on my photos - you have been bright spots in an otherwise dreary year.

Thanks. I also want to mention that my brother Jewellian is also probably not going to be on here for a while.
In case I don't get the chance later, I want to let all of you know that you have been a source of support, amusement, and very needed distraction for some time now.

I remember Jewellian talking about this, and I expressed my sympathies then. I didn't realize you were related, so I extend them.
It's good you'll be able to get some time in together at the end, that's all we can ever hope for. |

This is such a difficult time for you...one filled with so much sadness yet so much love. It's a chance to say how much you love her and talk about your future ( as I am sure she'll be concerned) and talk of happy memories.
I feel in awe when I am in the presence of someone who is leaving to be with God.
Treasure every moment and know that our prayers are with you, your Mum and family for strength, peace of mind and courage. |

I want to thank everyone who has responded here and at my blogspot. I really appreciate all of the sympathy and understanding - it helps to know that there are friends out there, even if I don't know you as well as I could.
As an update, mom is still hanging on. She's starting to sleep more, which the docs say is normal. They're giving her about another week or two, so we'll see.
And of course, this weekend I get a bonus - I get to have surgery to have my gallbladder removed! Yay. :-/
Ah, what fun times we have...
Thanks again to everyone who has expressed condolences, etc. It is very much appreciated.
