Ok guys, important question:
I just shot a photo for a challenge and I'm wondering if I'm late to submit it? It's now 2:57 am, local time? It's 8:56 pm server time so by that I have 3 more hours? The date on my camera shows 1st of February??
Help!

As long as you're able to submit, you can submit! So yes, it goes by server time.

Server time: indicates when the challenge closes. 3 more hours
Camera time: should be set to your local time. Validation takes time zone into account

sort of a related question.
I forgot to "fall behind" and realized that my exif date and time was one hour ahead for the abstract challenge. I unsubmitted at 11:59 and I'm bummed. I'm assuming it would have been disqualified because the date taken actually said Feb 6 at 12:19 am? I took it at 11:19pm on Feb 5. Weird. You would have thought that it said Feb 6 00:19. Am I having another one of those stupid moments?

My question is would it have been dq'd because my exif was ahead an hour? I couldn't possibly have taken it at the time set ahead but it didn't fall into the dates required so...

Yes, if the EXIF isn't within the legal time frame for your time zone, then it will be DQed if you need to provide proof on the image for any reason. While we realize that you couldn't have taken the photo in the future, we also have no proof that it was taken within the time frame either.
