Plan and simple can you crop in a basic editting rules? |

If you crop your picture then what you are left with becomes your image. It is what you are left with after cropping where the major element rule comes into play. |

Exactly. And, any editing that you make do the image as a whole (for basic) can be made after cropping. In other words, the cropped image is considered the whole image.
