Anyone have any ideas about this problem: I owned an olympus evolt and used the Import button in tool bar to download raw images..now the raw images from my Canon won't download because it keeps defaulting to the Olympus raw; they seem to be another format..Do you think I should remove the plug-in and reinstall it..or use Canon software that came with camera to download raw, but I'm still not sure how to get it from the canon raw to photoshop raw import of the image..does this make sense..do I need more coffee? If anyone understands what I'm saying, I need a little advice here..otherwise i'll do all editing in jpeg and psd and just give up on raw..

The orf. import will not load canon raw, don't use it for canon files. It should not be a problem to keep the Olympus orf. converter in import, I would keep it if you want to work on your old orf. files. One way to get a crw. into cs or cs2 would be to drag it in , and Adobe converter should open automatically. You may want to start to use Adobe Bridge to view & select from files and that should also open the raw files - I believe there is a default converter there. Also you should download the latest raw converter (ver. 3.3) from adobe, - (read adobe's directions) but I think place it in file formats. After this you may have two converters listed in help/about plugins (actually you will have three including your orf.) - however adobe will ask you if you want to use the new one.
opps - I see you are using cs, and have no adobe bridge, just as well, it is a lousy program.... using cs - I think you need a new version of the resident raw converter - get to adobe and download the new version. Installed correctly it should be able to open your canon raw and your orf. as well.
