Got home from work today, picked up the mail and there was 'the letter' ...Rush Delivery from the International Society of Photographers, 'You are invited to Las Vegas'.....
Apparently, due to my *wink* 'artistic accomplishment' I've been invited to become a Distinguished Member of their Society, nominated as Amateur Photographer of the Year AND invited to the Convention. I can secure my place and membership by simply sending them some money *biggrin* ......yeah right!!!!!
I am right in my assumptions regarding this aren't I? Scam?

Thanks Neil :)) That's the self same letter I got only the 'hush suddenly falls over the audience' was for me LOL
think they probably got my details from picture.com. When I first went on the net I entered a pet pic in one of their competitions and got letters about the 'amazing offer of a tabletop book featuring my astonishing image' ....... knew there was something seriously amiss as the image in question weren't too hot!!

Whuhhhh??? I was, um...sick. My dog ate my DPC password. My torch got wet in the crappy Seattle rain. I'm sorrrrrrryyyyyy. :(

Where do I sign up to get one of those letters? :-( It would be a funny little trick to play on my wife. She'd be all pumped for a trip to Vegas.
I guess I could clip from Neil's link and email that to myself, hehe.

(Not to diminish sue's artistic talents, cause I too did it) enter an image on the picture.com website and you will get it.
