Could someone please help me! I use Outlook Express. My personal address book is loaded into Express. I also have an address book that is NOT loaded into Express that I use once a month to send info for my friend, owner of the camera store. Normally, I open the camera store address book, select the names and click "mail to" which automatically opens a new message in Express with the selected addresses. Something happened in the last few days and now instead of opening in Express, reg. Outlook keeps opening. My personal address book works fine in Express, it's just the camera store address book I'm having trouble with. I've checked Folder Options and the .wab is set to "address book", which is correct...except I want Express and NOT reg. Outlook to open.
Oh, and because reg. Outlook was a trial that came with my computer, I can't just copy and paste the addresses into Express because many functions are disabled because it's not registered software.
Argh! Please help!
Thank you in advance.

| Can you right click on the address book and choose "open with..."? |

| It sounds like the Default program has been altered. I would open Outlook Express, and go to Tools, then Options. Inside Options, on the general Tab towards the bottom is default Messaging Programs area. It will tell you if you are or are NOT the default mail handler. If it's set to NOT, click On Make default. Should fix your issue. |

I dont understand why you'd want to keep two separate address books. Merging them, and then assign them to two different categories is recommended.
Anyway, if you insist of having 2 separate copies. You should import the camera address book into your Express. I know Outlook can accomodate a few address books, and so should Express.
If all fails, just create another Profile in Express to use your different address books - a bit tedious tho. |

Thanks for the suggestions. Luckily eckoe solved my problem!
As for keeping the address book separate...it's much easier for me. The camera store address book has about 400 names in it. I wasn't able to successfully import the address book without it combining with my personal book. It's annoying because I use autocomplete and so when I type "Bill", for example, it pulls a different Bill and if I don't pay attention I could be sending mail to the wrong person. Anyway, I only email one mail per month and so I'd rather keep all those names separate from my personal things. Thanks though!
mk - Thanks for your suggestion as well!
