I am trying to learn how to post a thumbnail in a thread - I don't want to stuff up somebody elses thread by posting 4000 tries of the same message trying to get the image showing on me reply.

As you can clearly see - I AM STILL STRUGGLING. Luckily I have the whole night left. Any ideas,tips,directions etc would be highly appreciated. You can just imagine how frustrated this can be.

Maybe I must take a self portrait of my face whilst struggling - you will see frustration in its purest form. ;-]

If you are trying to post a thumbnail from an external site the enclose it with the image tag, however I suspect the site you are using will not allow "hot linking" so it won't appear

This is an asp site and the image has a database ID so will not react as a normal image.

The bottom part does

It's the last part you need (//www.stockphotomedia.com/Thumbnails/717204.jpg) and enclose in [img][/img]

People,People,People - LOL - :-O - I am a plain old simple guy on the street who knows plenty on how to bowel a cricket ball or score a try in rugby, but you must remember the following two points - First of all; I am Afrikaans - English is not my first language and secondly - my knowledge of computors and computor talk is scary; therefor I did not understand a word any of ya all said LOL!!!

Anyway - I will keep on trying and see what I can do. I will take your help and comments and write them down. I like to chew on a problem until I get it solved - AND I WILL GET IT SOLVED.

HEY - I GOT IT. Still battling with the "clickable thumbnail" though. Not president yet, but getting there.

I think what Mr. Tree was trying to say is to post this string - just remove the spaces after the [ (toward the beginning and the end of the line below):

If you click on the preview button before you post, you can see if your link works. If no picture shows in the preview, it isn't going to show when you post.
