I was wondering if anyone actually got discovered because of photos posted here. As far as I am concerned this is the place where I would recrute photographers if I was in that business.

Since I have been here (not really that long) I have only seen one photo that was in a challenge get published (that I know of) and believe this it was stollen. It was Scalvets photo that won the cheater challenge.

I would like to hear from you guys about contacts that you had, or know of that resulted in someone getting published as a direct result of this site.

I seriously wouldn't call it "discovered", but I have been contacted by the administrators of 2 different macro stock agencies inviting me to join because of posts/portfolio on DPC.

I was contacted to use one of my photos by a local newspaper, of course they want all rights and use it for what ever they want I'm still deciding.

Did that contact result in making serious money. By the way after looking at your shots you are fantastic and I think that anyone in the business would have to be crazy not to check out your work!!!

Heiða was a cleaning lady when she started on DPC. The editor of a university newspaper saw her work here and offered her a job.

She now works for a media outlet shooting for 2 newspapers and 3 magazines.

The first contact was for a new company that just launched January 9th and the other a well established agency invited me on January 14th, so for big money......... not yet, but I'm spending my days either shooting or uploading, I'll let you know.
