| I normally use PS Elements 2.0, but have recently been experimenting with Photoshop CS. My problem is that when I resize to 640 and try to keep it at 150KB, my quality sometimes has to be below 70. I tried using 620 instead of 640, and it helped some, but I like using the full size and 80+ quality. It seems I read something about this once, but I can't find it and didn't pay close attention because I was not having this problem at the time! Anyone remember that thread or have a solution? |

| No interest this morning...how about now? Anyone notice a difference in file size after pp in cs vs elements? |

| When resizing I use save for web which seems to optimize more than the save as with the optimized box ticked. One thing I noticed between Elements 2.0 and CS is that in CS2 you can choose a sharpening algorithm to apply whereas in Elements you can't (at least not that I could find). |

| If you're using CS, you should be using the "save for web" option, which is tailor made for what you need in prepping an image for DPC upload. It has a feature which allows you to select the final file size and then it does everything it can, including stripping EXIF info, to max the quality for that file size. |
