Great exposure is a good reason. The editor of Picture magazine //www.picturemagazine.com saw my Circularly Confused shot at DPCPrints and wants to use it in an article about Bokeh in the March/April edition. I found out today by telephone.

You get to wear a cool blue shirt instead of one of those lame grey ones...

Another reason is the cool blue icon you get to sport...

If that's not enough reason alone... I don't know what is.

I got the same request on the 24th. I figured I would try to strike a small deal and made a propasal, instead of giving it away free (considering they are a professional business). Well, i guesss, they did not want to deal with that.
Owen, are you getting anything from them for the shot, besides credit?

Member challenges use advanced editing; that's reason enough right there :-)

I stop drinking when I am involved with a critique.

I rarely drink when I am focused on a submission.

I start to drink when a submission falls below 5.0.

I curl up in bed and look at the bottle that begs me to suck it dry when I have more than one submission in multiple challenges.

Life is good on DPC.

That darn update button... it's cool... but damn, I don't need any more callouses on my butt. Oh and multiple submissions, multiple deadlines... when am I expected to ever actually WORK!

Don't forget that you also get ...
- Entre to DPC Prints
- A Portfolio with 25mb of storage

The Portfolio is my fav feature of membership. Oh ok then, Advanced Editing and an extra challenge every week are cool too.

It's just occured to me though that my standard has slipped since becoming a member and rushing off challenge entries instead of doing one thing well. My average was 5.6672, now its 5.3373

And yup, if you're not a member you can't click the update button when you get up to pee in the middle of the night.

Membership helps people with obsessive compulsive behavior have an outlet via more challenges (and if that is not enough, start threads asking for yet more challenges.)

Oh, did anyone mention the update botton?
