Every year of membership should earn each member another perk- The choice to drop the lowest scored (or most embarassingly bad) photo from history. Wouldn't it be great to get rid of some of the clunkers?

No, that would skew the challenge history too much. It's interesting to be able to go back thru the challenges and see what the winners competed against -- and also to see where there photographer has been in terms of skill.
A somewhat alternative, that I would like to see, would be to implement a rolling average, of say the last 3 - 10 entries. That would allow much better tracking of change in ability as it occurs -- instead of, like the current average, taking longer and longer to show any change at all.
As for rewarding time served -- I will admit I'm a bit biased from working in a senority based work-environment, but I would rather see some form of karma system implemented that rewards based on activity, not mere presence.
just my 2 cents.

Hey you know what is "neat" about DPC? If you look at the profiles of the last page of the "SingledOut" entries, you will find several very accomplished photographers. A couple of ribbon winners and some top tens. Even a SC member.
This reinforces the notion that we are here to learn and experiment.

Note that my original suggestion was given "toungue in cheek". Just havin' fun.

If I stopped shooting now, it'd take me about 10 years to clear my profile of the bad ones :-)

They should stay.
You can't realy see where you have traveled, if you don't remember where you have been. |

That's quite familiar territory for me -- I've been "experimenting" for years ... : ) |

if you remove the last , the secod last becomes the last (which is close the removed one in score). Utlimately you will end up removing all images by this logic.
