Ho man, what a start! But every true Seattle fan knows it isn't over until time runs out. I will tell you that I have been a Seahawks fan since I was 8. I was a fan when they were good in the '80s and have suffered ever since.
Just to make it to the Super Bowl, let alone win, would be a dream come true! |

I have always liked Seattle (Seahawks and city) for some reason since I was kid. I have never visited Seattle or a game. It's like I've been there before but not.
My Guess Seattle 23 - 17 over Steelers in the XL

Go Seattle!!!
I wanted to see Seattle and Denver in the SB but, on second thought, that could have torn apart a large portion of my family. |

Your GUESS will definitely be wrong! Pittsburgh's D will dominate, and not to forget...we have BIG BEN who has a way better passer rating.

Ummm...only if you consider 98.6 way better than 98.2...
Plus, we all know Ben is only a good quarter back because they keep him reigned in. Let's look at the stats...
Big Ben: 268 attempts, 2385 yards, 62%, 17 TD
Big Hass: 449 attempts, 3459 yards, 65%, 24 TD
Ya, I'm pretty worried there...
Carolina's defense is statistically better than Pittsburgh (although P-town is good too). Hope you can score at least 34 points. Isn't that about one point for every 10 pounds the Bus weighs? |

Well, let the trash talk begin.
Hass is on a roll like never before. Let's recall he chalked up the highest quarterback rating EVER for the month of December.
The thing is, nobody knows Seattle at all. We're all tucked up here in the corner where they still have cowboys and indians shooting it out. Nobody is even going to see them coming...
We only have Shaun...Pfft. We didn't have Shaun against Washington, plus we gave them three turnovers...and still won.
I'm not going to say it's in the bag. Pittsburgh is a good team (I lived there the last two years). But they are a good matchup for us. Pittsburgh likes to run...we have a great run defense. Pittsburgh is not a team that likes to come from behind...we jump out early freaking all the time. I think we got a shot. But I'm sure that 99% of the people outside the northwest disagree.
BTW, you seemed to drop the "Big Ben is a way better quarterback" argument pretty quickly...

No...didnt drop it...check out the playoff passer ratings! Pittsburgh WAS just a running team...but we have passed the last two games to win!

Can't help you there. Matt's QB rating isn't updated yet. It's a measly 100.4 from the Washington game.
Bottom line is you'd best be talking up your defense, because there was no team, other than the Colts, that could hang with Seattle on offense.
I guess the world will find out in two weeks... |

Hasselback is a monster this year and anyone who has been watching him can see it. He's a natural leader and has the respect of his entire team. He's faster, scrambles better, and single handedly carried the offense vs the Redskins when he needed to. The offense has two big threats...Hasselback and Alexander. That's run and pass. Jackson, Engram, and Jerivisious (sp?) are no slouch receivers either. ALL year long I kept hearing why the Hawks are going to lose in the playoffs. Every game of the playoffs I've had to hear how the Seahawks won't get past the Redskins because the skins are hot, the Seahawks are going to get routed by the Panthers because the Panthers are hot. The Hawks easily beat the skins without Shawn the whole game and they destroyed the Panthers. Smith was screaming on the sidelines and spent the whole time looking stunned that Seattle was destroying them. Everyone seems to be surprised and I don't get it. The hawks are the real deal. Expect a good Superbowl.
