I am trying to upload a picture that is saved for web at 143k. DPC is saying it is over the 150k limit. I have redone it. I even closed the page, went back and it is saying the same thing.
What is up??? |

I've had the same thing happen. Apparently saving the file adds a few KB to the size. It usually requires I go from 10 quality to 9. Don't know the technical reason but you aren't alone.

Is it photoshop that's telling you it will be 143k when saved? I often find that my photoshop underestimates it's filesizes by a few k. See what it says in the files properties. |

If you use Save for Web rather than Save As it should be accurate.

Are you over the 150K limit or the 640 pixel limit?
What is the file size if you go through Windows Explorer and check the file properties?
Also, what Ben says is correct. If you Save for Web and select "optimize for file size" you should get a correct size.

Hmm, That should not be. What program and how are you saving it? |

If you're running Windows, open the folder that the file is in, right-click on the file and select "Properties" and look at the size. If the size, in bytes, is less than 153,600 it should upload without a problem. If you have files that show less than 153,600 bytes when inspected with the OS, then something is amiss.
