Okay first one that isn't online! Here's the story. As well as the candidates for the first category.
It's just for the county fair, but still, its exciting to me :) |

bump! It's 4:30am and I can't sleep. I figured I might as well see what kind of suggestions I've gotten so far... and they've only made it harder! Everyone has a good point-- so please put in your two cents!! |

BTW, here are all of the Dia De Los Muertos photos- I have a feeling a lot of them will be strong contenders for various of the categories...

I've always found the color version of the sisters (Supernatural) a captivating photograph. The b&w version is also very nice, but the color one really grabs me for some reason. Good luck! :-)

Hi,
My favorites are Fountain of Youth and Dia Decor. I'm tempted to say that La Madre could be worked in various ways thru Photoshop in a mix of Desaturated background and the center bursting through in color to give it both a supernatural and dramatic effect...? The color version is beautiful too, tho... Hey, just my two cents.
Best of luck!

Thanks for that IndigoButterfly! Unfortunately Fountain of Youth is a crop out of a much larger image, so it won't translate that well to a print. I'd thought about it but I want to make sure all of the images I submit are best possible quality. My DPC entry "Waiting for the Rain" is also a small part of a much bigger piece and also won't print well, though it'd be a nice image to enter. |
