focus off or too slow a shutter speed? The tree looks reasonably sharp...
either way, looks like you had some fun.

Pileated. Tough bird to shoot. Usually high up in the trees and very skittish about people. |

I was actually about 20 ft away shooting from my car window. He frequented the same tree for the last few days. It is not very sharp. I was using a 70-300mm canon. One of the old ones that focuses like molasses and isn't very sharp to begin with....waiting my time until I can pick up a 100-400L..Dreamin....
