My grandmother is cleaning this chair up to sell. It is solid oak and has been in the family for some time - in fact, some distant relative may have hand-made either the chair, or just the metalworks on it. She'd like to be able to offer as much information about it as possible, and we found the remains of this tag underneath.
On the off chance that any of you recognize this, could you tell me the part that is missing? If we at least knew the company, it would be a starting place. I'll include these other shots as well, of the metalworks and the chair itself, in case anyone recognizes them as a known style/brand/whatever.
Any info is welcome! Thanks all!

| Sounds like a candidate for Antiques Roadshow. There are syndicated columnists who check out stuff like this; another possibility would be a large auction house. It might be worth a call/email to see if they'll give you a free appraisal. |
