I have never heard of Waldo. Guess it´s an US kid-game or something. Can anyone help me out?

Worse than that, I don't know anyone called Waldo that I could get to hide in my photo :-/

My interpretation is to hide someone in your photo so that the viewer has to look very hard to find them.

Correct me if I am wrong, but in England we have the same book but called "Where's Willy", now that could be an interesting picture! Hee Hee

Outside the US, "Where's Waldo?" is known as "Where's Wally?", in the UK and Australia at least, if that helps at all...

Oh No! I stand very corrected and very emarrased! Thats what happens when you live abroad for too long, completely forget everything! Especially when it's a non English speaking country!

I think Waldo went bankrupt when the Dot Com bubble burst. All the links to Where's Waldo on the Web are broken.

This is going to be an interesting challenge.

Maybe you have to look harder to find him ;o)

I am a bit worried that too many are going to get "doesn't meet challenge" on this. Hide him too well, can't find him, must not be a person in the pic. Don't hide him well enough, well, you were suppose to hide him! (or her for the politically correct) I have already gotten a doesn't meet challenge on my before and after when it is quite obvious what the before and after are, I mean so obvious that I am stunned. It would be like taking a pic of a chicken and and egg and saying "I don't get it". Oh well. Happy Monday Wooo Hoooo!!!!!:)

I was wondering about the hiding the person too well or not enough! You may as well take a scenery shot and say he's really well hidden! :)

Do you have to prove there is someone there?

Where's Waldo is a series of books written by Martin Handford. Waldo wears the big Elton John type glasses a striped shirt and hat and you find him in a sea of people in the books. But I believe what this challenge is going to be about is finding a person in a photo, where the person is either hard to see or is absorded into the backgroud of the photo.

Yes... but what's confusing a fair number of people is that the same set of books are called "Where's Wally?" in some countries, and maybe don't exist or have other names in other countries.

We don´t have any Waldo in Sweden but I think the challenge meaning is quite clear: Have a person in your photo but make it hard for people to find him/her. Right?

I agree!! It will be difficult to hide the person and also have the person not hidden to well so that viewers can find him or her. The winning image will have to be clever.

Wasn't Waldo the minah bird in the first series of Twin Peaks?

Can I get a bird and hide him in some scenery? Or maybe in just a tree?

Waldo is usually hiding in a massive crowd of people....thish challenge suggests that there should be no people in the picture except for 1 person well hidden.....not consistent with the "Who's Waldo concept", albeit an interesting interpretation...

These challenges are getting stranger by the week!! What i get out of this one is...take a picture of something and have a hidden person somewhere in the negative space, right?
