I think they bring out the Gimp somewhere in the second half of Pulp Fiction.

I use GIMP exclusively over Adobe PS products, let me know if you have any questions. :) Happy to push open-source any time I can. :)

This book can do it better than I can explain it... Grokking the Gimp. The book is free online BTW. :)
