I just designed my new buisnesscard, but before I print it I wanted some comments from DPC members..
nothing is perfect so I need the eyes of others to see what can be improved..

| I think the Yellow font clashes with the rest of the color scheme, anyother colors you have tried? |

Honestly?
I think the logo fights with the photography for attention.
It's the kind of logo that would work well on a plain colour background but I find it far too fussy over a photograph!
Would also agree that the yellow clashes dreadfully with the rest of the card.
Sorry!

I agree with all the others. Your name/logo is hard to read and the yellow is probably not a good idea. Plus..if your photography is your business..I wouldnt use heavy filters on it.

I don't like the 3 or 4 fonts on one card... and I can't read what the top says at all. Like the photo tho!

why? I can't read it. I can read "photography" but if that top ..thing.. is supposed to be a word - I have NO clue.

Love the photo, dont like the font used on the business name, very hard to read, prefer the white to the yellow for the text.

actually therre are only 2 fonts, one that reads photography and the other for all the text at the bottom.
the logo at the top is a design I made, it's an ambigram and reads dansignet my webpage is dansig.net so my logo is my webpage :)
you can read it upside down to :)

I have to agree with Mav. It took me a good minute to make dansig out of that very stylized font. It "looks" good, just isn't very readable.

I read it as "dansignet" like a brandname, and I quite like it.

I read it the same way and I like it too, on it's own, but just doesn't work for me over a photograph. They compete too much.

Agree with hokie, kinda.
Ok, I see what it says now. It's supposed to be words, I got that part, I just couldn't read it. Now that I can, I don't think a lot of other people will be able to either. lol If you make a T look like a D, an E look like an A and an S look like a G, you're going to have problems.
And I do like the photo - the dansignet "logo" is a "font" because it's words even if it's a self-made font. The photography is font #2 and the text at the bottom is wayyyyyyyyyyy too plain and boring for the text at the top. It doesn't match well.

A business card should be like a billboard...Easy to read, catch the eye and easy to understand in 5 seconds.
I know the temptation, especially with creative types like photographers, to get real smart with cards..bad idea. Only other photographers/creatives will appreciate the ideas.
Your potential customers are not creatives and only want to know what you can do for them as quickly and as clearly as you can tell them.
But....this is only one advertising dudes opinion. I know many or most may feel I am full of it..and I am a lot of the time :-P
