I have been watching my Best of 2005 entry and I have had 3 very good comments one even telling me the score that was voted but the number of votes did not change. I have been watching the number of views change. Is anyone else seeing this? Are we having a problem with the new voting page?

I suspect these may be people that voted first and now are just adding comments?

They may have already voted and came back to comment.

Edit: Too Slow!

I am very disapointed with my Best of... scores. Anyone else? I really thought this would be my best score ever but it is very low. Maybe the category is too broad?

It's hard to say what exactly happens when watching your vote sometimes. I read a great comment just after the vote tallyied with the person telling me she gave me a 10 and my score dropped.

Free studies have a tendency to have low scores.

The competition can also jade people's eyes. My picture looks worse because theirs looks incredible.

There are seriously some pictures in this challenge that I can't see anyone voting less than 7 on.

It will be an interesting week.

Don't worry, be happy.

My scores are going up and down quite a bit right now, but I am guessing that it won't change much from what I get on Wednesday.

5.6 is still pretty good for me.

No take-backs allowed!
Seriously, I rarely comment as I vote. I prefer to finish my voting and go back to comment later when I've had a chance to let my thoughts gel a bit. If you do get a comment with my vote (which, of course, you may not be able to tell) it's because I simply cannot contain myself--so it's always accompanied with a decent score...which I may go back and bump up. I don't like to de-bump/dump unless I absolutely have to....which brings my comment full-circle: No take-backs allowed!

I went back this morning to leave comments for all the 10's I posted yesterday. The lowest score I gave in this challenge is a 4, and only a very small number of those. Some amazing photo's to be sure! Next, on to the 9's. This is taking forever!

Yes, the new voting system is broken. Sad but true. If one goes back to change or review a vote, things become very confused. The only way to "unconfuse" things is to go back to the thumbs page and start again. At least that is the way it is on my system...XPSP2, Mozilla 1.7.1
