I used to live out of our local dump site bringing home computers and tables and bikes and anything to fix up and sell... Great, those were the days

Hehe, I havn't done it in awhile, but we used to go 'dumpster diving' out in East Lansing (where Michigan State University is) at the end of semesters. Amazing what the students would throw out when they were leaving and going home. Tv's, furniture, all kinds of stuff. One trip, I filled the bed of my El Camino up and sold it all at a yard sale later, made about $100 off it :-)

Around here we use a site called freecycle.org. You list the things you want to throw away and people come get it instead of sending it to the dump. Everything is free. I've given away lots of stuff and received some great stuff. (Of course, everything still is in working order) It's a great place.

Yea, we have freecycle here (Dublin) as well. Great idea.
