So here's the deal. I have an external hard drive and it was drive E: When I reset up my system at school today, it registered as drive F:, and my CF card reader became E: Is there a way to change them back? I ask because I'm trying to import the HD pics to Microsoft Digital Image Library 2006, and everytime I tell it to look at drive F:, it goes to E: instead, where the pics used to be before this became a mess. Please help!!!

There is a way to change it. I can't remember though. I am sure this question will need to be answered though. What OS are you running?

On my system, the drive designation of the external devices flip-flops depending on which device is connected first. Try Booting up with the card reader connected, THEN connect the HD; that might work.

start - ctrl panel - administ.. tools (classic view) - computer management - storage - disk managemet.
In there somewhere, easiest ways what bear said, restart computer then connect the devices in a different order.

After you are in there right click the drive you want to change and click "Change drive letter and paths"

Henry buckle, thank you much, your instructions worked! I'm back in business!
Bear, an thank you to you too! I had tried doing a restart like you suggested, but I must have messed up, 'cause it didn't change the letters.
And you too Rex!
You guys rock, thanks again for the help!
