Yes - I'm finally getting a 20D !!! Bought it used from a guy on FredMiranda for $870- has around 5k clicks is all. He's sending it FedEx tomorrow morning....I'll be hitting that tracking number refresh button until it get here. lol
Now - do I keep the 300D as a backup? Or sell it and try to buy a 2nd 20D next time I find a great price? If I kept it as a back up, would I still want to use it after using the 20D? Help me out here guys.

I wish I would've kept my 300D. Shoot lots of softball during the summer using long lens, missing alot of walk around close ups...
edit; you'll love the 20D

my thinking is kinda that if I keep the 300D, I can keep the wide angle to one camera, and the 70-200mm on the other. Which to keep on which I am not sure of yet. If I do that, I have the problem of my camera bag not fitting both in it. The only item left to buy this year now is a nice wide angle lens in place of my Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8-4.0. I have the nice 70-200 L glass now, so I am trying to decide what wide angle to get, then sell the Sigma. After that, I'll be tapped out on funds for awhile. Gotta work more overtime!

use the 20D for the long lens, it's focus and response is way faster than the 300D, but the rebel is fine for the wide angle.
and for a new wide.. get the 17-40L or the 10-22 if you intend on using the 1.6 crop in the future :)

thats what I was gonna say. telephoto causes less DOF, and the 20d's focus is more precise, youll see more keepers. While still important, wide angle focus isnt as critical as tele focus is.

Worth thinking about whether you want to buy it as a kit with the standard kit lens or body only and choose an alternative lens... especially as you have lenses from the 300D already that I assume you can use? (Don't have the 300D so don't know if it's one of the ones with a different mount).

I bought the body only - it is a used one for sale on FredMiranda. I planned on using the lenses that I already have for now - until I swap out the Sigma for a lens that will be give me more balance.

Make sure to set it to NOT taking a photo without a CF card.
Keep checking the ISO (because I don't see in in the view finder, I often forget about it).

I'll definitely be setting the NOT taking without a CF card. I have the hack on my Rebel and set that to not after the first time I took a few shots and realized I had no card in. ugh.

"Keep checking the ISO (because I don't see in in the view finder, I often forget about it)."
I second that, the only bad point about the camera.
Congrats, its such a better camera than the 300D |

The ISO doesn't show in the Rebel viewfinder either
