I am trying to set up simpleviewer on my site. I will be helping someone with a web site this week and she thinks she may want to use it. I thought I would play with installing it to make sure I could do it.

I got it installed and it was working at first. Then I did some minor changes to the imageData.xml file. After I uploaded the new imageData.xml file the site was loading to where it is now but no further. I looked and the CHMOD for the thumb folder had changed. Now for some reason when I try to CHMOD the thumb file to write, it keeps automatically changing to execute. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

This is as far as the page will go now.simple viewer sample

Okay I think I figured out what I was doing wrong. Can some of you check and make sure it's coming up right for you. TIA

It works fine for me, and cracking images. My only point would be the thumbs just show a part of the image so the viewer needs to view it full size to see what it is.

It's working well, and the portraits are awesome.

Personal gripe: I always like to have the option of a (customizable) slideshow - I am too lazy to keep on clicking. At least it did let me use the arrow keys, which is better than mouse only.

Wow and wow. The first is because I like the way that Simpleviewer works. It's very clean and smooth. The second is the amazing photography. Those are some damn good images. I'm jealous because I do horrible people pictures.

Wow! :) Thanks Eug for the very nice compliment on my photos. I have to confess that part of my success with children is just letting them do their own thing and just shoot away. The curly blonde is my ex husbands little girl and she just loves to make up her own poses. Plus the fact they are all so darn cute helps alot. :)
I too really like this simple viewer. I played with it for someone elses site, but have decided I am going to use it for mine too. There are several photog here who use it and I have always liked the way their sites look. I use a gallery program on mine and many users can't view it.

Anyone using anything besides IE that checks this please let me know what you're using and if it's working right or not.

Thank's Dahkota. So far it's working in all browsers. I hope you decide to use this on your site. I think it would work well for you too. Just give me a yell when you get all your ducks in a row. :)
