I really appreciate the feedback. I'm getting ready to print a bunch for a possible gallery showing. :D

Beautiful image, the only change I would make is to rotate very slightly to the left to straighten the horizon, but even as it is it will make a great exhibition shot. The Mono quality is excellent. You seem to have this mono thing pretty well nailed, judging by your portfolio.

excellent, as I think I told you in my PM.

I would love to know how you shot/posted this. what filters did you have on your lens, what conversion process to B&W?

I'll be glad to tell you how great it is (it's really the best delicate arch shot I've seen) but you've got to throw me a bone buddy! :)

Sorry, might be up too late.

Stunning! Definitely an awesome photo as are the others. Only thing I would do differently on this one is to chip away at the rock a bit to make it look even more precarious. ;-)

I predict your prints will be a huge hit.

It must suck to live in a place that looks like this... How do ya pick where to point your camera? :-P

Was thinking the same thing. I would hate to see this sort of opportunity every day.

It's 5 hours away from me. I have to drive just like everybody else. :P

Lee sunset. I always use the channel mixer to start with. Bone has been tossed. ;o)

I think this one will only be 30x40. The Aspens I'm thinking 50x50. The others 40x50. I might make some smaller ones, but haven't decided. If I ever get my damn scanner fixed, I can start scanning about 150 rolls of 220 so I can get some new photos to work on.

Most of the photos have quite a hard gradient sky. Don't you find that a bit distracting?

I use it to set the mood of the image. It gives the sky some drama. I can see plain, dull, or blown out skies anytime. ;o)

Of course, nobody wants a dull sky, but wouldn't a softer gradient look better? All I'm saying is that the sky looks overdone to me...

Don't know how I got a dupe post this far into the conversation...

left you a comment - very nice photo! I would leave the angle as is only because tilting it does not help the arch itself and that's the subject, not the slightly angled horizon. jmho

That's one of the reason's I didn't straighten it.

Thank you for all the comments!

I like your shot, well done.. Yeah, I'm not sure I would want clouds in my shot. I like the graphic element the gradient sky gives. I wish I would of stopped at Delicate again when I shot Mesa Arch in December.
