It would be wiser to play on the same team, just for the night ;-) |

Well, lets get a count (like someone else mentioned earlier). Put me down plus one other film shooter for a total of 2.

Edited my first post add the count.
Looks like that van may be needed.
Oh by the way the circus is in town that weekend. I am going Friday the 17th.

Hey Eric, here's the link to their website. Maybe one of these days I'll get up the nerve to actually go. :-)
Atlanta Photography Group
And as far as the circus goes, does anyone want to explore my earlier post about meeting at Underground Atlanta instead and taking Marta to Centennial to avoid the circus crowd? I'm not sure if it would be better or not, not sure how many folks park there and Marta to the Arena during events. Anyone know what the scene looks like?

Thanks for the link. It sounds like they know more than I do, but vrey interesting. I think I will go next time.
The circus usually isn't a big problem. I am a paramedic for Philips Arean, and the ticket sales are not usually anything like a Thrashers game or a big concert. The CNN center may be a bit crowded when looking at eating, but parking shouldn't be a big deal. There are lots all over the general area down there. I think that parking around the park and the arena would be just as easy/difficult than dealing with underground. That's just my opinion.

Cool! Good to know, then it sounds like CNN center it is. Once we get a firm headcount, I'll look into calling to see if we can reserve a table for a large group at Jocks & Jills. :-)

Sorry! I didn't see that first post.
On the Atlanta Photography Group, I'm planning on going the 4th Wed of this month ("Exploration of Photography" - the 4th Wed is apparently "alternative" photography), and the 1st Wed of Feb if anyone wants to join me. You don't have to join the group to attend the meetings - although I was so inspired I joined immediately after attending the 1st Wed of Jan. It's kind of like a live DPC!
They have a "Push Pin" show there next month that could be great, and fun for anyone brave enough to join in (I doubt I have that courage or talent) |

BTW, in case anyone is planning to go the Atlanta Photograpy group on next week (Feb 1st), it's been cancelled. Apparently there's a lecture at the High Museum that everyone wanted to attend ...
Hope you can make the GTG Rex! |

I would still like to schedule to go to the Atlanta Photography Club meeting one day. I will keep you posted and let you know when I plan on going. Maybe a few of us can meet up there. As for this GTG I will probably make it. I now have camera insurance so nothing to worry about right?
For a few days there I thought my work schedule wasd going to pick up drastically and it doesn't look like it will.

I was heading home after several beers tonight thinking the same thing about meeting up early. The King center isn't bad, nor is Oakland Cemetery or the Highlands. If you have never been to Oakland, I recommend it. It is only about a mile or so from the King center. I am definitely interested in meeting up early. I am only a few minutes north of downtown, so anytime is good with me. |
