My Canon 300D generates a .THM file with each RAW image I take. What I'm wondering is if I have to keep these .THM files once the images have been transferred to my PC. Can I get rid of all these .THM files?
From what I understand, the .THM file is used by the camera to display the image on the camera's LCD. If so, they serve no purpose on the PC.
I'd appreciate any thoughts / comments on this.
Thanks

For what reason? As far as I know their only purpose is to allow the camera to display a thunbnail on the viewscreen; once the shot's downloaded they serve no purpose of which I am aware.

I've always deleted 'em and never regretted it. Glad the 5D doesn't have 'em.
