I don't have a pic for a poem or a poem for a pic...

Just wanted to say, you have an absolute wonderful gift in your verse. :)

photo will be posted late.

"Sorry"

We've worked it out before it seems
but I'm tired of dreaming silly dreams.

No more games of give and take
no more lies my heart to break.

No more nights alone in bed
while a lonely thought fills my head.

No romance can spark a flame
when desire is gone, who's to blame?

No regrets to hold me back
or to search for the love I lack.

No amount of my sorrow will do
but I wanted to say I am sorry to you.

I agree.

Have you ever thought about doing a book with pictures and your poems? If not, you should.

An old man named Ken, from Nantucket,
discovered a babe in a bucket;
he carried it home
and asked for a poem
he could sing late at night when he'd tuck it...

(sorry Ken... Someone more sentimental can move on with this project now but I couldn't resist...)

Couldn't believe my eyes when I read the following poem as a comment for my "Mother" challenge entry, didn't have a clue there was an ongoing thread with poetry as well! Love it!

by jsas (Jeff) it really made my day :) Thank you so much!

"A mother hen to a feline friend
still forms a common bond
I love it when a kiss you send
and the moments are all too fond"

"My Time With You"

Your path in life has just begun
you must learn to walk before you run
I promise you this today my son
I will guide and teach you.

I pass to you an eternal flame
so bear this torch without shame
a firm foundation in the family name
to your heritage- be true.

Smiles and joyful rays will beam
though tears and sorrow may be seen
but love and laughter will redeem
our strength to see us through.

But now you must rest and sleep
for your future- my dreams will keep
a father and friend's life will reap
as I cherish my time with you.

Jeff this is just amazing. I still keep coming back to read this thread and it never ceases to amaze me the gift of word that you have.

Jeff that poem for Ken is absolutely wonderful.

I got another pic for ya....this one is not sad, just a couple horses. The one looks to be whispering into the others ear. :-) I really like this shot - my favorite from yesterdays entire adventure.
