Anybody know the name of this hairy looking fly?
Not knowing is really bugging me.
When Googleing for the answer I found a picture of it by none other than our own Jacko at a web site where I see a LOT of familiar names:

Well, it slightly resembles Jeff Goldblum but not quite as jewish looking.

BTW, do you ever wonder why Jacko has so many flies buzzing around all the time? ;)

I thought of that. Can't be Jeff Goldblum, though... no glasses. I can see where the hair might have fooled you.
With you guys on the job this fly should be identified in no time!
Will someone pass me the beer?

Nope... that species has a lot more hair than this one.
And it should not be confused with "Drysophila Hariass" either.

run it in the 'fly recognition' program and it will match it up with some celebrity flies.
