I voted and left 23 comments so far. Even picked one for my favs. But I have to go back and fix some of my voting tomorrow. Seems I am a bit mystified on this one. I took it to mean offseting the color and not making it the main or centered shot of the photo. So I will have to go back and vote based on my interpretation I guess. Some, I think, felt it should be the main subject, but a lot are offset and read it like I did. Oh well, another weird voting procedure. LOL....
I shot up to a 7.0. I am now in the 6.5 range with 23 votes. No comments.

I guess all my stuff sucks. Almost feel like pulling my Best of 2005 entry now. I think it's great, but watch the voters ruin it for me and I'll never look at it the saem again.

I thought that the challenge wants you to use something that makes your eye draw to the bright and colorful? Not the whole image to be colorful...am I wrong?

I agree with this post too. I totally see the word "offset" used in photography all of the time, and it means to not center the photo or use rule of thirds, etc. It doesn't mean "stand out". I have rethought this after discussing it on another thead, and now I am convinced the colorful part should be offset. I will have to revote tomorrow. Too much confusion and being tired and all. I will have to give another look over.

One thing I learned by the Mother challenge is that the winners of contests rarely post their scores. Most ribbon winners end with a high 6'ish score, or in the mid 7's.
Therefore, I am taking little stock on what scores are posted here to estimate the top winners, but it is still fun to keep track of how you yourself our doing.
Mine is still in the mid sixes this morning, which is nice to see. I don't see any comments yet, but thats fine too. I hope I can keep this trend going. My personal goals are usually a 5.5 in scores. Maybe I should bump that up now to a 6.0. LOL....That ought to push me to do even better!
