I was wondering if anyone would be interested in working out a trade. I'm not to opptomistic, but I figured I could try.

I'm looking to get a 300d to use in my classroom for an online collaborative project I'm starting (School Lunch Project

I recently got a new computer and have a laptop that I would be interested in trading for a canon 300d.

It is a Compaq Armada e500 - ( Reviews of the e500

PIII 600mghz processor
12 gb hard drive
128 mb ram
DVD - Rom Drive
15" Screen
3 1/2" Floppy
Integrated Ethernet and V.90 modem
1 USB port
(2) Type II PC Card Slots
Windows XP
and I have an External CD-R-RW
The only problem I've had with it is that sometimes the AC power cord is a bit touchy so if it gets bumped it'll turn over to the battery. The battery usually lasts about 2 and a half hours. I've had it for about two years and taken really good care of it.

If anyone would be interested in trading reply or PM me.
Thanks

bump.. but I'm not even sure if the values of the laptop and the camera might not be the same.

bump one last time, and thinking that I have an RCA Lyra RD2780 that I don't use very much either that would probably even out the costs a bit.

be realistic, on ebay the laptop is worth $50
Brand new the media player is only worth $175

The camera is worth at least $400.

I don't think you're likely to get any bites on this.

If you see ones on eBay in the condition that mine is for $50 please let me know because I'd like to re-sell them for the $300 they're going for. Thanks.

I have the same laptop at work, only mine has a 40GB HD and 512MB RAM. Honestly, I wouldn't pay $5 for it let alone $50. Maybe I got a stinker, but mine has had a LOT of hardware failures.

yes, I have one at home from work as well (except mine's 900mhz) and wish I had something different. If you can sell them for $300 I'd say sell yours and the media player and you'll have no problem buying the camera. Good luck. :)

I haven't had any trouble with mine at all. Sorry to hear that you got bad ones, or ones that you didn't like at least.

It wasn't just me, the whole company has had problems with them. We leased thousands of them and they have been nothing but trouble. Many of them have had significant hardware problems; faulty displays, hard drives, motherboards, keyboards etc. It's not the kind of stuff that's easily inexpensive to replace.

I'd say you're lucky to have gotten one that evidently does not have those problems.
