Here's how to find out; open an image, do a hue/saturation (or any other) adjustment on it, then immediately without doing anything else go to the "edit" menu and see if there is a "fade hue/saturation" option near the top of the edit list. There should be...

Thanks, Bear,
I gave it a try and can't find it. I also did a search on Elements Help and didn't get a hit. But, Elements does many things like PS with different names and steps. It's a great program and I've learned to do so much with it. I am to the point of wanting to do more than I can in the one program. I do have Nikon Capture and forgot about using it for Curves, etc. Going back and forth on programs is not yet in my regular pattern.
I've ordered the PS Creative Suite and am getting a killer deal because it's for my school. Then, I'll have a whole new learning curve.
You all have given me some wonderful ideas to try and a different way of looking at an image. Thanks so much for your time and help. I hope it was fun for you too.
Shutterpug, I had tried a similar edit to yours and didn't have the courage to go with an image that had such strong contrast. You've given me alot to think about. Thanks.
BTW, next time I photograph skiiers/boarders, I'm taking a longer lens than my 18-70mm AND a tripod! I'm sure I'll try it again.
