Here's a few shot's I've done in the past few days...All these were shot with my ghetto Nikon Coolpix 950...
(Prolly should save at least one of these for my free study....bu I still have 3 weeks right?)

My favorite by far is the first one. I think you should enter it in free study if you don't get a better one. Maybe even 'burst of color' with a little tweaking :P

| I love all of them, and the 1st, 3rd, and 6th are my favorites. You've got a really good grip on using shadow effectively. Wish I could do some of that with my rebel. |

I was going to enter that version for the burst of color...but I got an even better shot...
I dk if I really like the green or not either...

Hmm, I don't think the green adds to it either. Since you're not going to enter it, +faves on the one that's here

Thanks for the fave! I really really like the image...I was thinking about saving it for the free study, but I'm pretty sure I'll get something better by the end of the month. Hopefully, lol.
I should be getting in my new camera here in a week or so...which means I won't be stuck using my nikon, lol.

| Very nice, SatS. I liked the leaf still life and bridge. lots of contrast. Do you not like your nikon? No SLR, I know, but seems like a fun camera anyway. BTW, congrats on being the number one name used for the username challenge. :) |

I love my nikon...but it just takes extra inspiration to get good shots out of it. I miss my rebel:(
Alas...I had to sell it to afford my new cam, but that is the life of a college student right?

Nice motion in the second one. I'm wondering what it would look like in color. The first one, by far, is my favorite. :-)

That's the road that Living Water Ranch is on here outside of Manhattan....
Not sure if you know where that's at or not though...but heck, all the roads look the same around here anyways.
"ghetto" means that it's old and outdated and pretty much a piece of crap compared to what I'm used to using. But...I make it work as best I can...

Thanks! I really like to transport people to another place or time with photography. I've been working on this aspect of my work a lot lately...still not too good at it though, lol.
