Hi :)
I work in the film/tv industry for a staffing/outsourcing/contractor office in DC. I run their online division, as well as their job listserv. Every now and then I see job postings for wedding photographers, still photographers, etc. I was wondering if anyone is interested in me posting them here? I can keep a watch on this thread and whenever I see one, I can quickly post it.
None of the jobs or companies are qualified by me, nor do I or my company have any affiliation with them, but I'm just throwing it out there for yays or nays.

Willing to work with a team of professionals(videographer, dj, etc) Salary is $400 to $500 per event(usually 7 to 8 hours)

a friend of mine in NJ got hooked up this way and shot 45 weddings last year.
i'm up for more work, i mean money.

well, im up for a job but since I dont live anywhere near DC it would be a long commute...anything come up for wyoming though id be up for it...

Oh, MY company is in DC, but the listserv gets jobs for all over. Wyoming is doubtful, but NY/NJ/CT, VA/DC/MD, and LA Metro is the main.
These jobs don't come in very often (it's more like videographers, editors, producers, etc) but I'd happily post them here since 'jobs' + 'the internet' = my internet job.

Well, it's a paid listserv, and these photog jobs are few and far between. Which is why I simply offered to post them here whenever I find them. But hey... :)
The listserv is called Tvgigsonline. It's $25/yr. The listings are nationwide, and offers a variety of postings for the Tv, Film, and New Media industry. The majority of postings are behind-the-scenes gigs, not talent.

VIDEO NEWS PHOTOGRAPHER INTERNSHIP IN WASHINGTON, D.C.
The Medill News Service in Washington, D.C., offers a quarterly paid internship for a video news photographer assigned to shoot news stories for client television stations as part of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism's graduate program.
Medill graduate students spend a quarter in Washington working as correspondents for radio and TV stations across the country. The intern photographer will work independently with student reporters in the field and also receive guidance from the full-time chief photographer and other faculty. The intern will use professional DVC Pro cameras, as well as beta and Final Cut Pro digital editing equipment.
The full-time internship is available Jan. 23. Hours are generally 9:00am-6: 00pm Monday through Friday. Salary is $10.00 per hour.
Applicant must be interested in Washington news. Previous experience in ENG camera and editing required. Training in news graphic composition and newsgathering preferred. College degree also preferred.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work well under pressure as part of a team. This is not a job for someone seeking an on-camera position.
