Just got my new 5D and was looking thru the custom functions and iso settings. Couple of questions for the 5D users out there. Is there any downside when expanding ISO to get 50 and 3200? As far as custom functions go any advice? Thanks |

Just expanding ISO to include 50 and 3200 has no downside per se, it just makes ISO 50 and 3200 available. |

Well why don't they just put it in instead of having to expand it? |

Good question. My guess is so that you don't inadvertently switch to ISO 3200 when changing ISO's and forget it there when you did not mean to use 3200... |

I was wondering if keeping it set to "On" somehow introduced more noise into the lower ISO settings? |

No reason for that to happen. My ID II has been set so that I have ISO 50 and 3200 available at all times since I got it...No problems or ill effects on any of the other settings...It's just a switch to make a setting available. |

Man, I must've had my head buried in sand somewhere cause I never even heard of the 5D! |
